Marine Façade company carries out the largest project in Europe for reclamation of land and development of the territory in the coastal area of the western part of the Vasilyevskiy Island of St. Petersburg. The newly reclaimed area of 476,7 hectares is planned for real and commercial estate, including engineering, transport and social infrastructure, and construction of shopping and entertainment complexes. The flagship of the project is the first and only in Russia dedicated sea passenger port. The new port has been many times in the focus of the cruise community. In March 2011 the Marine Façade received the Dream World Cruise Destination 2010 award for the Most Improved Port Facilities and in 2009 Seatrade Insider Cruise Award as the Transit Port of the Year. At present the River Passenger Port construction project is underway, and the river port will become a part of the city river transport development program and is planned to decrease the traffic in St. Petersburg. In several years the guests of St. Petersburg arriving to the new sea gate will see from the sea an impressive European façade of the Northern Capital with sky scrapers, shopping galleries, recreation areas, parks, new residential areas. The project is implemented as a Public-Private Partnership and supported by the Federal and City Governments
